Go Fund Me: Club Foot Group.

I am so excited to climb Kilimanjaro and cycle to the kenya coast from the top of Uhuru peak. I was offered the opportunity to do it with my mom and a group of friends. The main reason I am doing this is to raise money for the club foot groups in Kenya, as a way of giving back to children like me who are born with Club Foot. Today I’m at the border of Tanzania and Kenya waiting to get our bicycles across. We will start climbing tomorrow.

So please support my efforts on our Go Fund Me page. We will keep you updated on our progress.

Thank you Otto.

Thanks a lot Julie for efforts to support clubfoot patients. Clubfoot Care for Kenya is a national clubfoot treatment program that uses the Ponseti Method. We have since inception in 2005 been able to treat over 14000 children with clubfoot. The program is currently supported by Hope Walks.

At our hospital, we have challenges treating delayed presenting clubfoot. In order to prevent serious complications, we admit the patients for serial casting for about 3 weeks and then perform a less invasive surgery. These patients come from remote areas of Kenya or had been treated and developed a recurrence. We usually have about 5 patients undergoing serial casting at the hospital. This is an area that would require support.
